Laurie Sullivan is the artist selected for this years' original commissioned artwork for the
70th Annual Block House steeplechase. She is an exhibitor in various galleries and has
been the poster artist for the Camden Colonial Cup steeplechase and the Blowing Rock
horse show. She has had artwork in the American Academy of Equine Art exhibitions in
Lexington, Kentucky at the International Museum of the Horse at the Kentucky Horse
Park. She also has several Chronicle of the Horse magazine covers to her credit.

Please plan to join us for the 70th Annual Running of the Block House Steeplechase Races, Saturday May 7, 2016, at the Foothills Equestrian Nature Center (FENCE), 3381 Hunting Country Road, Tryon, NC  28782.

Parking passes for TR&HC members may purchased January 4 thru Feburary 12, 2016. We encourage TR&HC donors to renew their donorship early and purchase their passes before Feburary 12, 2016. Parking passes go on sale to the general public beginning Feburary 15, 2016.
 
 

“Sponsorship Opportunities”

Sponsorship opportunities range from Hillside Finish Line Sponsor ($1,000) to Featured Race Sponsors ($30,000), with packages between suited to meet your company’s needs.

Advertising dollars will be spent supporting organizations like Foothills Equestrian Nature Center (FENCE), Harmon Field Community Park, Thermal Belt Rotary, Kiwanis, a variety of local youth organizations, trail systems, Pacolet Area Conservancy and Polk County Community Foundation Scholarships, just to name a few.

Volunteer Now

Block House Steeplechase is a great opportunity to volunteer at an historic equestrian event. There are a range of volunteer positions from parking setup to hospitality & only require a few hours of work. This is a great way to get involved & be a part of the race day action!
